Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using CollabTask services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our services.

Description of Service

CollabTask provides:

• Open Source Software: Free project management software available under the MIT license
• Guided Implementation: Optional paid service to deploy CollabTask for you
• Data Migration: Optional paid service to migrate your data from other tools
• Support Services: Optional paid support plans

Open Source License

The CollabTask software is released under the MIT License. You are free to use, modify, and distribute the software according to the terms of that license. The MIT License text is available in our GitHub repository.

Paid Services

Guided Implementation

• One-time fee of $200 ($99 for verified non-profits)
• We deploy CollabTask to your own Supabase and Netlify accounts
• We transfer full ownership to you upon completion
• Service includes setup of up to 100 initial users

Data Migration

• One-time fee of $500
• We migrate your existing project data to CollabTask
• Supported sources include Asana, Trello, Jira, and spreadsheets
• Timeline depends on data complexity

Support Plans

• Annual Support: $99/year for email support and guidance
• Enterprise Support: $99/month for priority support with dedicated contact

Payment Terms

• All fees are in US dollars and non-refundable unless otherwise stated
• Payment is due upon service completion for one-time services
• Support plans are billed annually or monthly as selected
• We use Stripe for secure payment processing

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate information for service delivery
• Maintaining your own Supabase and Netlify accounts
• Backing up your data regularly
• Complying with applicable laws and regulations
• Not using the service for illegal or harmful purposes

Our Responsibilities and Limitations

What We Provide

• Professional deployment and migration services as described
• Support within the scope of your chosen plan
• Ongoing development of the open source software

What We Don't Provide

• Hosting or infrastructure (you own your own accounts)
• Data backup services (your responsibility)
• Custom software development (unless separately contracted)
• Support for self-deployed instances (unless you have a support plan)

Data Ownership and Privacy

You own your data. CollabTask is architected so that your project data is stored in your own database accounts, not ours. We cannot access your project data, and we do not claim any ownership rights to it.

Intellectual Property

• The CollabTask software is open source under the MIT License
• Our trademarks and branding remain our property
• You retain all rights to your data and content
• You may customize the software for your own use

Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable services, but we cannot guarantee 100% uptime. Since you own your own infrastructure, the availability of your CollabTask instance depends on your chosen hosting providers (Supabase, Netlify, or your own servers).

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CollabTask shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CollabTask from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

Termination

Either party may terminate these terms at any time. Upon termination:

• You retain full access to your deployed CollabTask instance
• Support services end according to your plan terms
• You continue to own all your data and infrastructure

Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of [State/Country], without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of [Jurisdiction].
